Turbocote Kikuyu Lawn Seed is a warm-season grass that requires a soil temperature of at least 18°C to germinate, with optimal temperatures ranging from 25°C to 30°C. This seed features the Whittet variety, an improved form of Kikuyu. The Turbocote coating enhances moisture absorption and adds weight to the seed for improved performance.
Thriving in warmer months, this Kikuyu has a medium texture and a dense, robust turf. It establishes well, even on poor or low-fertility soils. In cooler climates, temperatures drop significantly, it may go dormant, leading to reduced growth and discolouration. However, both colour and growth will return with warmer weather.
