Stop weeds before they ever appear
Spartan is a selective pre-emergent. It forms a barrier that stops weed seeds establishing, so you prevent the weeds rather than spraying them once they are already up.
- Prodiamine at 480g/L, a proven pre-emergent active
- Targets Winter Grass (Poa annua), Summer Grass and crowsfoot
- Works on the root tips of newly germinated weeds
- 500ml covers roughly 1,250m² of lawn
Three steps to a weed barrier
Work out your area, then mix Spartan into water in your sprayer at 30 to 40ml per 100m².
Cover the whole area in one even pass so the barrier is consistent.
Water it in with at least 6mm, ideally straight after spraying. It can sit for up to a week before watering, but the sun starts to break it down, so sooner is better.

What it is, and how to use it

Existing weeds are not controlled. Spartan prevents the next lot coming through, so timing matters.
