Odessa Herbicide – Post-Emergent Weed Control for Tough Weeds
Odessa Herbicide is designed to tackle some of the toughest broadleaf and grass weeds in home lawns. It offers targeted, post-emergent control over a range of hard-to-kill weeds that many other herbicides struggle with, including:
-
Bindii
-
Guildford Grass (Onion Grass)
-
Onion Weed (False Onion Weed / Fragrant False Garlic)
-
White Clover
-
Oxalis
-
Mouse Ear Chickweed
-
Cudweed
-
Cat’s Ear
-
Medic
-
Cotula
-
Black Thistle
Odessa is highly effective on lawns like Common Couch, Hybrid Couch, Buffalo, and Kikuyu. (Note: Do not use on Queensland Blue Couch.)
Why Choose Odessa?
-
Excellent post-emergent control of persistent weeds like Guildford Grass and Onion Weed
-
Selective control of Ryegrass from Couch, Buffalo, and Kikuyu lawns
-
Safe for use on warm-season grasses (excluding QLD Blue)
-
Low odour and low toxicity (Schedule 5 – Caution)
-
Water-dispersible granule (WDG) formulation
-
Trusted Group 2 Herbicide (Iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium 100g/kg)
Best Time to Apply
For best results, apply Odessa when weeds are healthy and actively growing — ideally in Autumn or Spring. You’ll get optimal control when daily temps reach 18–21°C or higher.
Avoid using during cold winter periods when daytime temps stay below 15°C, as this can reduce effectiveness.
